Puyallup RV Show 2019

In the last installment we looked at some of the returning favorites at the 2019 Puyallup RV Show. In this installment we will look at some of the new attractions and revisions to others you won’t want to miss.

Test Drive / Tow - Are you looking to enter the RV lifestyle and not sure which type of RV is right for you and your family? Do you have concerns about being able to comfortably drive a larger vehicle? Which is right for you; driving a motorhome or towing a trailer? At the Test Drive / Tow exhibit you can answer those questions with firsthand experience by getting behind the wheel of a motorhome, travel trailer or fifth wheel and familiarizing yourself with what it takes to maneuver each type.

It’s easier than you think! Test drives / tows are conducted within the confines of the fairgrounds during the hours of Noon - 6:00 Thursday, Friday and Saturday and Noon - 4:00 on Sunday with a capable instructor beside you. You will find the Test Drive / Tow exhibit just to the west of the Extreme Scream ride (tall tower with flags atop) at the fairgrounds.

Pro Trailer Backup Assist - Backing up a trailer involves navigating two vehicles at the same time — the truck going one way and the trailer going in the opposite direction. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned pro at this often tricky maneuver, available Pro Trailer Backup Assist makes it as easy as turning a knob. With the Pro Trailer Backup Assist you just enter a few measurements into the system to calibrate it for your trailer, then, when the system is activated, the Backup Assist camera tracks the trailer position while you are backing up and guiding the trailer. It becomes as simple as rotating a knob on the dash left or right in the direction you want the trailer to go while the system controls the steering wheel. You can see this revolutionary new technology demonstrated at the 2019 Puyallup RV Show daily from Noon to 3:00 PM. The demonstration area is located at the north end of the show near the fountain.

Seminars – Educational seminars continue to be a popular attraction at the Puyallup RV Show. They have become so popular that a third seminar area has been added to the 2019 Puyallup RV Show to accommodate all the great seminar topics RVers have been requesting. Everybody’s favorite Gary Bunzer “The RV Doctor” has come out with two new topics to meet the needs of RV enthusiasts.  The Campground Safety seminar will teach you procedures for pre-trip preparations, checking in, setting up, using, disconnecting and exiting any campground or campsite keeping you, your pets and RV safe while camping. One appliance that is often over looked for annual maintenance is the roof top air conditioning. Attend the RV Rooftop Air Conditioning Maintenance seminar and learn how to perform easy maintenance checks to keep your air conditioner in tip-top shape and ready to keep you cool this summer.

One of our new presenters from the Seattle RV Show is going to leave his seasonal ranger position in the Teton National Park to come share his wealth of knowledge at this year’s Puyallup RV Show. Bryan Appleby has been full time RVing for over ten years and has developed such an efficient solar system on his RV that he hasn’t plugged into shore power for the last eight years! Come to his Full Time RVing and Solar Debunked seminars and be prepared to learn from a master.

Many living full time in their RV still need to earn a supplemental income. If this is you, be sure to attend the How to Get Started Workcamping seminar presented by Amazon. This seminar is designed to answer your questions about job availability, variety, how to get a job, what they pay and qualifications.  The above seminars along with some returning favorites are among the 20 seminar topics you can enjoy at the 2019 Puyallup RV Show.  Seminars are free with paid show admission.
