youtubeIn the last article we looked at what you will see at the 2022 Puyallup RV Show. In this installment we will look at all the learning opportunities available at the 2022 Puyallup RV Show May 5th – 8th.

Seminars – This year’s show features a wide range of informational seminar topics:

TLC LogoTowing and Tie Downs: If you are currently an RVer or plan to become one soon, you know that few RVs are a standalone unit. Trailers need to be towed, truck campers need to be secured in the back of a truck, fifth wheels need a special hitch installed to be towed, and most Class A and C motorhome owners will be towing a “dinghy”, boat, cargo trailer or a host of other possibilities. Fortunately for RVers, Torklift, the industry leader in hitches, camper tiedowns and stabilizers for all types of camper and towing requirements, is located right here in the Pacific Northwest. They will be presenting a seminar that covers each of the towing or carrying requirements noted above. Regardless of which type of RV is right for you, the folks at Torklift can provide you with the information you need.

RV Electricity: Mike Sokol an electrical and professional sound expert with 50+ years in the industry will be virtually presenting his three-part RV electricity master class series at the show. He will be covering 12 volt battery power, 120 volt shore power, hot skin conditions, inverters, solar and much more. A question-and-answer period following each seminar will allow show attendees to ask Mike their questions. Don’t miss this chance to interact with Mike live in the Pacific Northwest.

waparkslogoWashington State Parks: Have you ever thought about becoming a camp host? Camp hosts perform light duty work around the campgrounds at Washington State Parks in exchange for a campsite. Come learn how you can become a host while camping at some of the most scenic campgrounds in the Pacific Northwest.

State Parks will also be presenting a seminar on Exploring Your Washington State Parks. If you are not sure where to go camping this summer or over the course of the next year, you will want to attend this informational seminar. It will whet your sense of adventure and definitely provide you with some ideas on where to take your RV camping.

WSM LOGO with short non gov250Retirement & Medicare: Are you approaching retirement? Not sure how Medicare works and the best options for a healthy, happy retirement on the road in your RV? Then sit in on this informative seminar and let the We Speak Medicare/We Speak Insurance team break down the options that will work for you in easy-to-understand terms.

Dave Head 3Boondocking and Google Earth: Presenter Dave Helgeson will share his secrets on finding free boondocking locations across the country in his Boondocking 101- Finding a Place to Camp Seminar. Come learn how to find these scenic locations in advance before ever leaving home. Note: Dave’s definition of boondocking does not include Walmart, rest areas, or dry camping in a forest service campground. Once you have learned his secrets for finding boondocking spots, you will also want to attend the "Many Useful Applications of Google Earth". In this seminar you will discover how Google Earth can provide a wealth of information to RVers on the go.

osgs new logo WEBPersonal Safety While RVing: Whether you are boondocking in the middle of nowhere or stopping for lunch in a rest area, many people are concerned about their safety while RVing and many have questions about carrying a firearm. What type of firearm is right for RV travel, where and when am I allowed to defend myself with a firearm, do the laws differ between states? Sit in on one of Old School Gun School’s informative seminars where you will learn the answer to these and many more questions.

Grab a beer or wine from the Pioneer Pub in the Showplex building and bring it with you while you enjoy a seminar as walk-around alcohol is now permitted on the fairgrounds.

Click here for a complete listing of seminars and descriptions at the 2022 Puyallup RV Show. Be sure to check the schedule as several of the seminars are one day only and will not repeat. If you want to come back another day to see other seminars, visit the Information Booth while you're still at the show and ask for free complimentary tickets to come back another day.

Demonstration: Travel trailers comprise most new RV sales. If you are considering purchasing a travel trailer, you will probably need an equalizing hitch to safely tow it. If you are unsure of what an equalizing hitch is, what it does and how to use it, then be sure to stop by the hitching demonstration for a hands-on demonstration. You will find the Hitching Demonstration at the northwest corner of the ShowPlex.

Manufacturer Representatives: One big advantage of attending the Puyallup RV show is the availability to manufacturer representatives. A manufacturer rep is a wealth of information concerning the RVs they represent. They can tell you how they are built, what modifications, if any, are available from the factory, what to expect in the coming new model year and so much more.

Is RVing Right for You? Not sure you are ready to take the plunge into fulltime RV ownership yet? Learn how Outdoorsy and Routeline both offer you the chance to join the RV lifestyle without committing to 100% ownership of an RV.

Booth Exhibitors: There is a wealth of information available to be gained via the booth vendors at the show. Whether you are looking for an RV cover, membership campgrounds, pet products, seasonal work camping, RV safes, RV repair, state park campgrounds, rental options or a host of other products and services you will find it at the Puyallup RV Show. There are even businesses that can help you with those pesky home improvement projects, allowing you to hit the road in your RV rather than having to stay home and work on the house this summer.

You will find all this and much more at the 2022 Puyallup RV Show May 5th – 8th at the Washington State Fair Events Center, it’s the last big RV show before summer!

There is a chance a truck camper dealer will have them, but no business is specifically signed up to exhibit them.
