Editor's Note:  On April 17, 2020, Gary Bunzer passed away due to the COVID-19 virus, a very sad loss to the industry and to those of us at the MHRV Show Association.

Gary Bunzer, the RV Doctor, started his career in the industry in 1968 when he began helping his father’s Florida business repairing RVs. After a stint in the military, Gary relocated to the San Diego area and started working full time in the RV aftermarket and service business. Since that time he has been educating the RV industry, technicians and RVers about RV technical issues and providing his expert advice. He has authored technical articles, troubleshooting tips, product reviews and user manuals for RV owners, suppliers and manufacturers. Recognized in 2016 as an inductee into the RV/MH Hall of Fame, his career as an RV technician and training specialist was well known to everyone in the industry, with his name considered to be synonymous with RV technical education and training.

Gary at the Seattle RV Show

In the Pacific Northwest, Gary was an important featured speaker at the Seattle RV Show and the Puyallup RV Show for many years.  Numerous people came to the shows just to attend his extremely informative and educational seminars…

“Love Gary!”

“I really enjoy Gary’s RV seminars. He is always so helpful and answers questions “with a smile.”

“He is awesome. We are lucky to have him locally, wish he would offer more seminars. We would attend any of his seminars.”

Gary Doing Television Interview for the Seattle RV Show

PRVS15 Callout RVDocFor those of us who had the opportunity to work with him over the years, we couldn’t have asked for a better friend and supporter. He was always ready to help out and go the extra mile to do television interviews on behalf of the shows, create informative videos about RVing and even contribute to articles for NorthwestRVing.com (Spring RV Prep, Summer RV Prep and Fall RV Prep).  Gary was an integral part of our RVing educational efforts and happily shared his wealth of knowledge with all of us here in the Pacific Northwest. Most importantly, he offered his help and insights with enthusiasm and genuine kindness with a high level of professionalism. Gary was truly one of a kind and he will be sorely missed.

OH my gosh! What a shock! He was such a personable guy and phenomenally knowledgeable. Very sad to lose Gary.
