  • Take a road trip on the Chinook Scenic Byway.

  • Bring your tennis racquet and play a few rounds at the tennis courts located on the grounds of the Enumclaw Expo Center.

  • Those that enjoy historical structures and don’t have a fear of heights, will want to cross the 100 year old Fairfax Bridge and enjoy the view of the Carbon River far below.

  • Pack a picnic lunch, enjoy the scenic drive and then marvel at the massive trees at Federation Forest State Park. After lunch hike part or all of the nearly seven miles of trails the park offers.

  • Partake in a gondola ride and other activities at Crystal Mountain Resort then enjoy a meal complete with a stunning view of Mount Rainier at the Summit House the highest restaurant in Washington State. Other summer activities you might enjoy include disc golf, horseback riding, mountain yoga or hiking.

  • Take a day trip or two to Mount Rainier National Park. Enumclaw is a great base camp to use while entering the park via the northeast or northwest entrances. The wild flowers should be glorious in early August.

  • Launch your kayaks at Kanaskat Palmer State Park and run the Green River Gorge or hike its trails.

  • Pinnacle Peak Park - A King County Park within walking distance of the show featuring trails, geocaching and scenic views while hiking up the old volcanic dome.

  • Hike or drive to the top of Sun Top Lookout to enjoy stunning views.

  • Visit local breweries. The two closest to the show are Cole Street Brewing and Head Works Brewing.

  • Ghost town buffs will want to explore the remains of Fairfax, Washington.

  • Play a round of golf next door at Enumclaw Golf Course. Drive or take the trail via the east end of the Enumclaw Expo Center RV Park.

  • Step back in time to the rich heritage and culture of the 19th century Pacific Northwest with a visit to the historic coal mining town of Wilkeson.
