Northwest RVing

The Northwest RVing Blog site is hosted by MHRV (Manufactured Housing and Recreational Vehicle) Show Association. Each year, MHRV presents two important trade shows in the greater Seattle area to promote and display the RV Lifestyle. We are all about RVing and hope you will enjoy the many articles posted here about RVing in general and about our upcoming shows.

Hundreds of RVs at Show

The 2016 Puyallup RV Show, April 28th - May 1st at the Washington State Fair Events Center, is the last big multi-dealer RV show before camping season.

Regardless of whether you are in the market for a new RV or just want to see what the RVing lifestyle has to offer, attending a big RV show, the Puyallup RV Show, should be on your "must do" list prior to the arrival of summer.

By attending a RV show, you get the opportunity to view the various types of RVs, compare different layouts and shop various manufacturers and dealers. It’s one stop shopping that makes looking at the numerous styles, brands, models and prices easy.

Buck Creek

Spring has sprung and RVers across the Northwest are itching to get out of town for their first camping trip of the season. However, many rustic state and federal campgrounds (think forest service) typically don't open until sometime in May or June. What is an RVer to do? One solution is to head out into the national forest and boondock. In the boondocks, there is no camping season or locked gates to keep you and your RV away from a camp space.

One popular place to camp "pre-season" is Buck Creek Recreation Area just off Hwy 410 less than 50 miles from Puyallup, Washington.

Spring is Here - Are You Ready?

Spring is just around the corner and that means it's time to take the RV out of hibernation. Before heading out on your first RV trip of the year, spend an afternoon going through your unit to make sure everything is in proper working order and ready to go. If you took the proper steps in winterizing your RV, it should be ready to go with minimal preparation.

Below is a handy checklist to get your RV ready for a spring camp-out:
